In the eye of the Beholder

Do you ever look at a newborn baby and think…. yikes.  Some babies are just beautiful and some are well, beautiful in the eye of the beholder. It’s a rough start coming out into this world, let’s face it. It’s cold, bright, noisy, and  you are being stared at and sized up the very moment you emerge. Welcome to the world baby!

Lets give credit where credit is due.  God can just BREATHE and create things, people, the universe, you know, just the usual stuff for God… We can’t understand it right now, with our minute knowledge of His grandeur. He DOES keep showing us more and more as time unfolds though. We just can’t really form our minds around the beauty that is before us and is yet to come.

I am pretty sure that the bird in this picture has no clue how magnificently beautiful he is and how every detail in his creation is just beaming with God’s glory. God creates things that are beautiful in HIS sight. He shows us His glory and then like a boomerang it returns to Him. He IS glory. He EXUDES glory.  He will be glorified in all circumstances, not just the good.

God is also in every detail of every bad moment, day and season of life.  Bad things bring people to their knees, and this is certainly when God does His best work. He is there to help us get back up. After all, He chose us. We are the apple of His eye. He covers us with feathers.

He is brilliant and fascinating. He taught the sun where to stand in the morning. He showed the moon where to hide until evening. Nicole C. Mullen

God is good. He will always be good. He can ONLY be good.

Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings…      -Psalm 17:8

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.  -Psalm 91:4
