The Hubble Telescope – you simply must go and look at the images this thing captures. Click here: Hubble Telescope

If you ever have the opportunity to see The Hubble Telescope in a theater that offers IMAX viewing – I highly recommend that you jump at the opportunity. Absolutely fascinating, wonderous and beautiful. You might even find at times that you are holding your breath in awe and amazement. God is so much more than our tiny blue dot!!! Wow!

Do we spend too much time looking down and not enough time looking up and out? We would see so much more if we took time to look up. We would notice the clouds more – like when we were kids and would lay in the grass and talk about the animals we could see in those clouds (well, I always saw animals, maybe you saw trucks or dolphins).

Back to looking up at the sky… maybe we would see birds soaring in the wind, stars shining in the night, alien space ships shooting across the sky… wait, what!? Hey, I don’t know, we have to look up more to see what’s out there.

I ordered a couple of those gravity chairs a few months ago for our back porch – specifically for the purpose of reclining so I could look up at night and see all the stars. We had regular chairs that we could crane our necks and look up in, sure, but I had really been wanting something to kick back in so I could just lay there and star gaze. That’s not something I normally do, so I thought, hey, I’ll order the tools to accommodate my new adventure. Well, the tools showed up and they just wouldn’t stay in the recline position. Long story, longer, the company said, sure we’ll refund you and you can keep the chairs (so they didn’t have to pay return shipping – smart company). Um, thanks for the two chairs that don’t serve their purpose? Anyway, we now have two broke down semi-reclining gravity chairs that I force in the recline position (this is not a complaint, seriously, I found it silly to waste two chairs) so I can look up at the night sky.

Each clear night I get my personal screening of the best Show out there. It’s as if God is playing a movie at The Drive-In of all drive-ins and He is the Main (and Only) Star.

The coolest thing is, at the end of each nightly showing, you don’t have to sit through a bunch of credits, because there is only One. And after that, it doesn’t even say The End. It actually says The Beginning.

I can’t wait to see the Sequel…

Broke down chairs to gaze at Our Creators Creation in? I’ll take two please.

Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.   – Isaiah 40:26
